Gladding 550 Paracord, when compared to other manufacturers, tends to be a bit stiffer with a slightly oversized outer sheath. This is generally the case for some of the brighter colors. This is a desirable feature for some, since it lets you more easily tighten the weave that you are making.

Note On Colors:

Manufacturers name their colors differently. If one manufacturer calls a certain shade one color, it will not necessarily be the same shade that a different manufacturer offers with the same name.

Safety Note:

When you cut paracord, or any other synthetic cordage, in order to prevent the ends from fraying, slightly melt the ends with a lighter or match. Be very careful, as the melted cord can drip on you, causing a burn.
